Church Beautification Day Saturday April 16

  • Breakfast @ 8 a.m. at Bob Evans
  • Work @ 9 a.m. at CCC

Last year a donor made possible the beautification of our campus, weeding islands and grounds, mulching, trimming trees, bushes, and more. That investment continues to pay dividends this spring.

Speaking of spring, things start growing once again and we’d like to insure our campus continues to look its best in preparation for our All Creatures Pet Blessing & Adoption event on Saturday, May 7.

Come for a hearty breakfast at Bob Evans off Tylersville Road (7781 Dudley Dr.) at 8 & we’ll see you at the church at 9!

 April 24 – Youth Sunday

April 24 is Youth Sunday where the CCC Youth and friends will lead the worship service.  It is always one of our favorite Sundays.

All Creatures Great & Small Pet Blessing & Adoptionacgs
Saturday, May 7, 10 a.m.— 2 p.m.

Big News!  MIX 94.9 will be with us from 10 to 12. Steve Mann will DJ, broadcast their station, interview guests, and do remote reports.  He’s been on the air in Cincinnati for 10 years and was part of the crew that worked My Furry Valentine.

We’ve sent invitations to over 80 rescue groups in the Cincinnati metro area, and about 20 have said “Yes.” I’m expecting 10-15 to actually show up as they’re all volunteer organizations. If you have contacts with rescue groups please put in a good word for us.

acgs1After Easter we’ll recruit volunteers. Because this event has grown we’re expecting around 500 guests to come, and we’ll need your help!

This is a gift from Tylersville Road Christian Church now (Compass Christian Church) to the community and we want to leave a positive impression. Thank you for your support!

June 27 – Youth Mission Trip

cyfSeveral of our CYF members and leaders will be attending the St. Louis mission trip with Disciples Summer Missions the week of June 27th.  The  youth will be selling raffle tickets soon to earn money for the trip. The youth will plan to meet every week after worship, to eat together and engage in the small group Connecting in Jesus. A special thank you to Amy Donnenwerth for organizing and to all of the faithful folks who worked at the bake sale and/or provided goodies on voting day!  We are eternally grateful for all your support!  May God bless you for your selfless service.

March Montage:

Feed Our Neighbors in Need  Food Drive Results!

The results of our congregational food drive are in, and in 1 week we raised 804 lbs. of canned and packaged goods to feed our neighbors! We exceeded last year’s total in less time; thanks for everyone’s generosity that helped restock our food pantry shelves.

With the participation of 17 congregations in the Faith Alliance, we surpassed our goal and were able to raise over 27,500 lbs./13.75 tons (2,200 lbs. greater than last year!) Our collective efforts helped supply 12  different area food pantries! How wonderful it is when  people of faith come together to do great things for God!

We welcomed our Regional Associate Pastor  Rev. Steve Bentley be a part of our service to help formalize our name “Compass Christian Church  A Disciples of Christ Community.

We want to thank all that made this celebration so memorable!

Music is the prayer the heart sings
