This year there are various projects in which you and I can serve:
These are specific to Compass Christian Church. But If your church group would like to participate OR if you know of a project that our partners may want to help with, please contact Sue at smahlock@thefaithalliance.org.
1. To build a walker/wheelchair ramp for a lady who is contending with several health issues. Construction will begin on June 26th with the work being spread out over several days. The lead person for this project is Dave D.
2. There is a family who has had a close connection to our congregation for several years who is in need of some interior and exterior painting projects and possible repairs to their home. The lead person for this project is Gerry W.
3. Adjacent to our building is an area which is in dire need of yard work and brush cleanup. The lead person for this project is Bill A.
Please note – we start work at 9 am but if you can only stay 1/2 hour that’s wonderful. We are having a brief service at 8:30 am, and all are welcome, but you do not have to attend to volunteer.
We will carpool from church Compass Christian Church 6771 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH, 45040
Register on our volunteer page click here and someone will contact you to discuss how you might like to help. Families are encouraged to participate.

Message from 2015:
Watch a video prepared by one of our church partners:
CPC X Days from Casey Ryan on Vimeo.
Church partners, inter-denominational faiths, come together on X Days to be the “Hands and Feet” of Christ and serve others. Between 1,000 and 1,200 church volunteers serve at sites all over West Chester, Liberty Township, Hamilton, Middletown, Mason and Cincinnati on their designated day. Between 70 and 100 different projects at both non-profits and private individuals’ homes are normally chosen by each participating church to serve at.
Some of last year’s project sites included: Serve City, Middletown Choice Market, One Way Farm, Pathway to Hope Women’s Shelter, Gettysburg Trailer Park, Hope’s Closet, Pine Hill Lodge, Birchwood and Doverwood Nursing Homes, dozens of private residences of shut-ins and foster homes, Woodland Elementary, 5 West Chester fire stations plus many more. In addition, a field day was organized for disabled children at Joe Nuxhall Miracle Field Park as well as building a house with Habitat for Humanity.
From Dave D. : A great day of Serving our neighbors and community. Thanks to all that came out and got dirty for Jesus, Faith Alliance X Days 2015 was a great success! Over 40 people from CCC were involved working to mulch over a tenth of a mile of woodland trails, power wash the wheelchair ramp, clean and organize the inside, paint a door, all at the Mason Nature Center; Gardening, clean-up and packing the supplies for the Knapsacks of love at CCC. Thanks again to all that were involved, the sore muscles are worth it!
Here is the path to the photos from this morning, enjoy!:

SCRIPTURES
Jeremiah 29:4-7
4Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: 5Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat what they produce. 6Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease. 7But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.
I John 3: 17-18
17How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help? 18Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.
Matthew 5:14-16
14‘You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
