Holy Week 2017

APRIL 9, 10:30 A.M.

APRIL 13, 6:30 P.M.

While Disciples of Christ celebrate the Lord’s Supper weekly, this practice comes from the Passover meal that Jesus celebrated with his disciples on the night  before his death.
We’ll have a light dinner of soup and sides beginning at 6:30 and a kid-friendly program starting at 7 p.m.
There will be music, singing, readings, and sampling of Passover meal items before sharing the Lord’s Supper.
All are invited

The word Maundy is derived from the Latin word for “command.” The “Maundy” in “Maundy Thursday” refers to the command Jesus gave to the disciples at the Last Supper, that they should love and serve one another.

Key message : Love and Serve one another!

Good Friday APRIL 14:

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted – Matthew 5:4

Even though we mourn the death of Jesus, we know that our journey is not over. We are sorrowful and we wait.

Easter Sunday April 16

I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die – John 11:25-26

Death was not the end of Jesus story, as we follow Jesus we know that death is not the end of our story either. Hallelujah!

Easter Brunch 9-10:15 Mueller (across the street from the church)

Easter Service 10:30 am

Lord, be the true resurrection and the life within us each and every day.
