Youth Sunday -Genesis 1:28; Rev. 21:5a, Earth Day Sunday, April 22, 2018

For the Beauty of the Earth

Call to Worship

L: To the Lord Your God belongs heaven itself

P: The highest heaven, the earth and everything in it.

L:  The earth is the Lord’s and all that’s in it.

P: The world and those who dwell therein.

U: You leave us breathless when Your awesome works answer us by putting everything right…

     You are the hope of all creation, from the far corners of the earth to distant life-giving oceans.

Our first reading comes from Genesis 1:28.  Listen for God’s word.

Then God blessed them and gave them this directive:  “Be fruitful and multiply.  Populate the earth.  I make you trustees of My estate, so care for My creation and rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that roams across the earth.

Our second reading comes from Rev. 21:5a

And the One who sat on the throne announced to His creation,
The One:  See, I am making all things new.

Here ends our reading. May God bless our understanding.

He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands

He’s got the whole world in His hands,
He’s got the whole wide world in His hands,
He’s got the whole world in His hands,
He’s got the whole world in His hands.

He’s got the rivers and the mountains in His hands,
He’s got the oceans and the seas in His hands,
He’s got you and He’s got me in His hands,
He’s got the whole world in His hands.

He’s got the land and sea in His hands;
He’s got the wind and rain in His hands;
He’s got the spring and fall in His hands;
He´s got the whole world in His hands.
